This fruit slicer cores and slices apples and pears into appealing wedges in just seconds. The simple gadget also greatly reduces the amount of time it takes to prepare fruits for pies or tarts, and is much easier to use than some of the more gimmicky coring/slicing contraptions out there. Equipped with a sharp stainless-steel cutting blade, the slicer fits over any apple with less than a 4-1/4-inch diameter and divides it into eight sections while simultaneously separating out the core. The slicer requires only one swift push downward to execute and a soft-grip rubber handles ensure that the slicer won't slip out of hands. The slicer has a durable plastic body that won't show stains, and is safe for cleaning in the dishwasher.
