Customer Review: Nice but wish speed was a little faster

This is a nice, lightweight handheld mixer - and you have to LOVE the color. It does a great job on small baking projects but I would not recommend this for something that requires high speed like beating egg whites for angelfood cake because it doesn't beat quite as fast as the full sized upright KitchenAin mixer. I've had this for a couple of years now and it's still going strong. Be sure to wash and thoroughly dry the beaters as I think they'll rust if you leave them in the sink in water (have had this happen on a few other KA products). It's overpriced. I spent the extra $$ for the color but I wouldn't say it's any better or worse than a cheapie you can get at a discount store.
