Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid KHM7T 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Almond CreamCustomer Review: A great complement to my K45 Summary: 4 Stars
I have baked for nearly 30 of my 41 years, and I have used a lot of hand mixers. This one by KitchenAid is a great partner to my KitchenAid stand mixer. I have used it for everything from cookie dough, to cream, to mashed (okay, whippped) potatoes. It has never failed me, I find it powerful enough for my purposes, and one thing that has not been mentioned in the other reviews is that this mixer is relatively quiet. Not silent, but quiet. For jobs that are really too small for the K45, this is ideal. Nicely balanced, easy to use. In short, a winner.
Description of KitchenAid KHM7T 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Almond CreamNot only can this hand mixer mash smooth, creamy potatoes right in the pot they were cooked in, it can also whip up some cream in no time at all. Versatile and powerful, it tackles everything from homemade mayonnaise to tough cookie dough. Pound for pound, a good hand mixer is perhaps the most laborsaving kitchen device. While my grandmother relied on arm strength and force of will to beat a stiff dough or to mash potatoes, a light and easily maneuvered hand mixer saves time and muscles. This one from KitchenAid features seven-speed digital touch control for precision mixing, and an electronic sensor that will adjust the power as you go, so you maintain a steady mixing speed. If you're beating a delicate batter, you can use the Soft Start feature and ease into faster speed. When you're finished, the beaters are easily ejected. If you've ever battled heavy doughs, you'll appreciate the beaters' design: they don't have a center post, so dough won't collect in the middle of the beater and clog the machine. It's also designed for easy cleaning. --Laura Cuthbert
