I don't know much at all about pots & pans, but I just wanted to mention a couple of things which may not have been mentioned before (I think it's kind of useless to read the same redundant feedback over and over and, well.. you get my point. We're all busy people, so in an effort to add something new, I bring you this mini-review!
(sorry for the digression and cheap poetry. just can't help myself sometimes)
1. These pots/pans are of thinner construction than I was expecting. For example, I've got some Calphalon Kitchen Essentials pans from Target and these KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials are less thick or dense than those from that Calphalon hard-anodized collection. Is this a problem? I don't know. These KitchenAid pots/pans seem more prone to getting bent out of shape or warped, but I don't really know if this should be a practical concern or not. Time will tell.
On the other hand, being of thinner construction, they are probably a little lighter, so they could be a plus for some users.
2. This set is currently stocked in Kohls dept. stores, so if you want to get a first hand look before purchasing, that's where you'll find them. Bare in mind, there is some occasional variance from store to store as to what products they stock, but they SHOULD have this set in stock.
