Customer Review: Can't Hear It!

The volume on the alarm beeper is so low you can barely hear it even if the room is totally quiet and it is right next to you. Forget about hearing it all if there is any usual noise, radio, TV or conversation in the kitchen or if you are at some distance away. Consequently, it is a totally useless item of kitchen decor. I can hardly believe that a respected brand like KitchenAid would let something this so obviously defective product loose in the market. Somebody wasn't paying attention. And yes - I tried a brand new alkaline battery instead of the no-name Chinese "heavy duty" battery that came with it.
DO NOT BUY! There are many other electronic kitchen timers on the market that are sufficiently loud (some VERY loud) and MUCH less expensive.
