Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of KitchenAid? 2-Quart KettleCustomer Review: Great tea Kettle Summary: 5 StarsI drink a lot of tea so this kettle is getting its workout. I really like it so far plus I picked it to match our kitchen remodel. The only thing that took a little time to adjust to is that the spout cap opens differently (pushes down) rather than my previous trigger-pull type spout caps. Stainless finish is staying clean too. This is probably slightly heavier than most tea kettles which I like, but it might be an issue for some people. The rubber insulating pads on the handle are probably fine for most people, but they are a bit small for me. Obviously, Kitchenaid is not designing their kettles for big guys! ;-)
Customer Review: Best I have ever owned Summary: 5 StarsJust so you know what I consider quality - I own All-Clad LTD for my cookware. I am the type that seeks out the best regardless of the price, and this *is* the best Tea Kettle that I have ever owned. My mother came to visit, her being in her 60's and she drinks tea all day long - the sound of a tea kettle whistling has always been a sound you hear at her house - and she immediately fell in love with this tea kettle, so I bought one for her as well for her birthday. That was all 2 years ago and it has held up well, it is extremely well made as you would expect from a KitchenAid, and I expect that I will be using it for many years to come. You will not be disappointed.
Customer Review: You can call a kettle black Summary: 5 StarsYou can call a kettle black but I would rather call one orange. What a great kettle for keeping the steam away from your hands and pouring. Holds a lot of water and is easy to fill. Cleans up great too. Love it!
Customer Review: Kettle Summary: 5 StarsExcellent product, great quality, easy to pour water, boils water fast, no smell residues (unlike other brands I had to return due to strong plastic smell in the boiled water...).
Customer Review: good kettle Summary: 5 StarsLike many other reviewers, I've experienced none of the problems mentioned regarding leaks, the handle getting too hot, a strange sounding whistle, etc. I think it's a pretty nice kettle. I especially like the silicone on the handle and spout lever. It doesn't completely cover the metal, but there's enough there that I can pick it up every time comfortably.
Pouring angle is good
It's nice to look at
etc.
The metal is thin and probably susceptible to dents if you drop it, but unlike skillets, I don't think that thicker walls are necessary for kettles, so I feel it's ok here.
