Customer Review: Best "small appliance" purchase ever

I LOVE THIS BLENDER! I was a little apprehensive about buying a factory reconditioned product at first, but then when I realized that the warranty difference was only 6 months, I decided to go for it. That difference, plus not having the pouring shield are not an issue for me.
Since receiving the blender, I've used it several times a week. Before I had it, I was using a hand mixer, or on occasion, my mother-in-law's stand mixer. (She lives next door, and that's another story all together.) Certainly a hand mixer cannot compare, but neither did her stand mixer. The KitchenAid Accolade stands up to its name! The only slight downside is that it is a tad bit on the noisy side. But who cares, when you can be done mixing most anything in just a few minutes?!
I have not regretted this purchase, and I've even given my mixer a name...Betsy the Work Horse....she's been getting quite a workout with all the holiday cookies (fall, Halloween, others to come) that I bake for family and friends.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, (have I said how much I like this blender?), and if you get one, I'm pretty sure you'll love yours too. I will never, ever go to another brand, and if this one dies someday, I'd probably consider buying another reconditioned one.
